Mrs. Encell was more than an ordinary woman; she was, indeed, the head and front of the family, and from the honr ofher arrival in this place from Van Wert, Ohio, almost twenty years ago, she, by opening a millinery store, was the sustaining power and looked to in every adversity. Few people have been called upon to bear more of the trials and difficulties of life than Mrs. Encel), but through it all she boretherself as the true wife, the noble mother and the liberal, upright, honorable friend and neighbor. The surroundings of the family are so sad that we have no heart to write upon the subject around which clusters so much that is to be deplored.Mrs. Encell was born in Stark county, Ohio, on the 13th of December, 1836, and consequently was 53 years
