They were to leave March 5, and from there expect to be sent to Bermuda or the Guam islands. Donald Schmidt, son of Mrs. E. O. Shanks, who enlisted with Cecil, remains at Fort Warren.Helen Erickson spent last weekend in Minneapolis, attending a gathering of the group with which she went to Alaska last summer. Motion pictures taken on the trip were shown. She also visited her sisters, Mrs. A. F. Seastrand of Minneapolis and Mrs. F. 0. Noreen of St. Paul. Miss Erickson was accompanied to the Twin Cities by Mrs. O. E. The 140 school pupils had a holiday too, and more than 1,000 persons saw the “show. The 'elevator is 05 feet high and weighs between 90 and 100 tons.
