I saw one actor talking to another right in front of the footlights and the other one almost laughed aloud. I think they were disappointed that Baltimoreans weren’t wildly enthusiastic about them. Miss Starr und tho Black-face comedian wore the only persons-' who seemed to give their best. The audience did not full to applaud them.The lirst scene between the comedian and the lady is such old stuff thut I wonder at them producing it It. is the old fashioned repur-Thc uncorked comedian • got off a lot of clever stuff but niade tho mistake of letting some of it get on a lower level and tile folks showed their disappru\ai by diminishing applause. The young man was evidently trying to find the level lie could use in his Jokes. For a man from a cosmopolitan town he displayed poor judgment. The chorus is pretty and well-trained. Howeycr. they seemed to share the feeling of. tho male members. In the Turkish scene one dancer displayed a form that left nothing to be desired, or t* the imagination.Teddy Ret ora in her “Drunken Man Sketch” is superb.
