J. Beer Co.Perhaps few of our people know anything about the factory that is located near the Big Four railroad on East First street. This is quitea large building and as light as day, the sides and ends being principally of glass. The factory is owned by J. Beer Co., and Franklin Robinson is sales manager. Here it is that all kinds of circus supplies are manufactured, including chairs, tent poles, tent seats, center poles and everything that will equip a first class show. That their output has been satisfactory we refer to Art Bowers Europeon shows, Downie Wheeler World Best Shows, Galmer Bros. America’s Best Shows, Jones Bros. Wilson’s shows, Jerry Muggins Howes Great London Shows, Cooper Whitney’s Circus, and others. They work a number of men and the factory has been running all winter. Part of the machinery is propelled by steam, and the other by electricity. Mr. Robinson is on the road most of the time and when at home has charge of the advertising feature.
