Eastern Star Chapter Has Formal Initiation For Four New MembersCentralia Chapter 353 of the Order of Eastern Star held formal initiation Tuesday night for Glenna and Dudley Henry and Shirley and Craig Alcorn. Mrs Lois Smith, worthy matron, and Ray Landers, worthy patron.presided.Donations were made by thechapter for the Uniform Fundfor the Black Knights of Belleville and for the local HeartFund. .The altar was draped for a month due to the death of a past grand matron of Illinois, Mrs. Sarah Daniels of Tucson. Ariz and William Waring and Miss Lorraine Huck of Centralia. Theworthy patron read the 23rdPsalm in commemoration. Resolution of Respect committees were named: Mrs, LucilleKemp, chairman. Mr*. Mary Ann Norton and Mrs. Virginia Barr for the Huck family and Floyd Heyduck, chairman. W. G. Cavitt and James Rounsa* ville for the Waring family.Sandwiches and potato chips were served by the committeefor the evening. Mrs. Pearl Boner. chairman. Andrew and Bertha Carlson. Miss Pearl Mullen. Mrs Olive Wollenweber. Ralph and Geraldine Eastwood, Mrs. Juanita Rylander. Mrs. Madelyn Stephens, Mrs. Pauline Wham and Mrs Lucille Beck-meyer. All white decorations were used for the tables including white carnations in white milkglass vases against a backdrop of light blue with large white taffeta doves and • Peace**in glittering letters Pro Tern night will be observed March 13 and it will be formal Officers will honor theirpro terns.
