Crete News .i m % * ms m-M Choral Concert Scheduled for SundayThe seventh annual Crete-Monee high school choral concert will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the schoolcafetorium.Performing under the direction of Arthur WolfLutherans Form GroupTo Give Bloodgroup.chorusMembers of three area Lutheran congregations met at Trinity Lutheran school in Crete last Sunday to participate in a blood drawing sponsored by the Aid association for Lutherans.These blood donor clubs are formed to provide means by which members of participating Lutheran congregations may give of themselves to help their* fellow church members.Through the use of mobile units, furnished by the Mt. SinaiMedical Research foundation,local AAL blood donor clubs are able to collect blood from | volunteers from their respective congregations. iThe drawing on Sunday was organized and sponsored by members of Trinity and Zion Lutheran churches of Crete and St. Mark’s Lutheran church,! Sauk Village, under the supervision of Merlin Putz, dent of AAI Branch 221.presi-will be the madrigalconcert choir, mixedand the Girl’s Glee club, as well as a number of soloists.Among the soloists are Mary Jane Barrett, soprano, who will sing “He Is Gone Away;’’ Paul Allen, baritone, “Now Sleeps the Crimson Petal;’’ Cathy Jester,soprano, It’s a Grand Nightfor Singing,” and “It Might As Well Be Spring;” Phyllis Harwood, soprano, “Rain Has Fallen;” Nancy Rogers, soprano, “Black Roses;” Jerome Ver-tucci, baritone. “Requiem;” and Garrett Paul, bass, “Das •Wandern.”• • •MARCIA Parks will play a piano solo, “Sonata in E Minor,” j second movement, by Edvard Grieg. Marcia has also been a soloist with the Chicago Heights Symphony orchestra Youth Opportunity concert.The concert choir will sing “Green Leaves of Summer,” I“I Love Paris,” “April Showers,” The Impossible Dream | and “Colorado Trail.” jThe mixed chorus selected “My Lord, What a Morning,” “In The Good Old Summer-’ and “DearMore than 100 pints of blood were drawn and are being kept by the Mt.
