WORK WILL BEGINDrawrOn the Now Methodist ChurchBuilding Soon.KarlThe laborers have been put to work tearing down the old Methodist church building on Fort Gaines street, preparatory to the erection of a new modern brick structure in its place. The brick are already being shipped in and are being placed on the ground and it will not be many days before work will begin on the new building.Until the new building is completed the congregation will use the chapel of the Institute for holding Sunday school, preaching, Epworth League and other church meetings. The Baptist church generously tendered the use of their house of worship ; but, owing to the fact that the two Sunday schools meet at the same hour, it was thought best to use the college chapel, though the congregation is grateful for the kindly ofTer of their Baptist brethren. Services will beheld at the usual hours next Sundayat the college. In the meantime tlie fund continues to grow and will soon reach the desired proportions. $179,00 have been subscribed since our last issue, which added to the amount then reported makes a total of $2,768.00, and of this amount $1,831.50 has been paid in.Below we give the complete list of subscribers and the amounts contributed to-date :D.
