manufactory.10 ; —it. IDeath of J. W. McCulloughJames Webster McCullough passed away at 20 minutes before 12 o’clock a. m., Tuesday, February 28, 1893. The deceased was born in Summerville, Middlesex county, N. J., January 31, 1811. He studied veterinary surgery in Philadelphia and after completing the course he practiced the profession in F.ssex county until his removal to Mor-II! gan county, Illinois, which was in 1879., He was married early in life to Rebecca ) [U Ann Boise, of New Brunswick, N. J., and t- 1 together they trod the path of life until 1879, when his worthy helpmeet passed away. It was his wife’s death that decided Mr. McCullough to abandon theiH J'1 active duties of life and come west, where re he could settle down near his children e* j and brothers. There were born to Mr. McCullough seven children, four eons and three daughters. Of this large family of children only three sons survive their father. They are James W., of Leavenworth, Kansas; John, of Spring-held, Mo., and Wm., of Jacksonville.The brothels who survive him are Wm.,of Scott eountv; Frank and Webster, of Jacksonville. For a number of years after moving to Jacksonville, Mr. McCullough maintained a home m the east part of t’,e city, his niece, then Miss Maggie d TenKvck, presiding over his household F allairs, but upon the marriage of Miss lenKyck to Wm. Stull, Mr. McCulloughie 1e married son William took up Ins abode w ith Mr. and Mrs. Stull 011 South Dia-mom! street and there be continued to reside until the beginning of the illness which terminated fatal 1 v. About six weeks since Mr. McCullough contracted a cjld which rapidly developed into acute pneumonia, and although everything was done that medical si ienee and ten ler ami loving hearts could suggest, nothing could stay the progress of the dread disease.Kariy in life Mr. McCullough embraced Chris' anitv and united with the Presbyterian church ami at the time of h.sdeath he was a member of the State1 Street Presbyterian church.
