Frightened Citizens Desert BenFrightened citizens flee their town, leaving Ben Cartwrigh; (Lome Gieene) Vo protect hiit prisoner against a notorious gang, in “The Real People of Muddy Creek” on Channel 2's colorcast of “Bonanza” Sunday at 7 p.m.Ben and Little Joe (Michael Landon, jail Luke Harper (guest star Joe Don Baker) and wait for a marshall to arrive when Harper kills the Muddy Creek sheriff. The citizens flee when Ben refuses to heed a telegram from Luke’s brother threatening their lives and demanding the boys release. When Ben sends Little Joe for help, only saloon girl Casey Collins (guest-star Jean Hale), two other women, an old man and a boy stay to defend the town and prisoner. When the marshall fails to arrive, Ben sends them away to face the gang alone.Dan Blocker stars as Hoss and David Canary as Candy. Clifton James guests-stars as hotel owner Lawson. Ann Doran is featured as Mrs. Walker, Susan Trusiman as Linda, Russell Thorson a? Simon, Mitehel Vogel as Tommy, Hal Lynch as Haines, Jon Lormer as Jody, Stuart Randall as the sheriff, Val Bisoglio as Cliff Harper and Ed Long as the deputy.
