This pioneer couple were the parents of ten children, seven of whom lived to adulthood, and hadtamed a 3 66 The junior lives with her parents on 11 Clover Courtchildren. Four of the sevenwere represented at the family gathering Sarah, who married David D. Jones, Mary Priscilla, wife of Edward Rose, Ellen (Nellie), who married Jacob Frederick and Samuel Jones Philipps whose wife was Wilhelmma Williams The Samuel J Philipps branch won the honor of being represented by the largest number at the family gathering Two children of this couple, Winnie Hottmger (Mrs George) of the Welsh Hills and Samuel JonesPhilipps of Grove City were the center of attention, an swenng many questions for the younger generation Another sister, Edith Cummings (Mrs Pat) of Colum bus was prevented from being present by illness After a bountiful “basket dinner the afternoon was spent in sharing pictures and letters and other historical data of the family.
