e-'TwThree Races Set At FairgroundsThe Indiana Trotting and Pacing Horse Association will kick off its 1975 season with a big five-day card at the Anderson Free Fair track Monday night at 7:30 p.mThe five sessions of racing will be the most at any fair in Indiana this season The five sessions will start at 7:30 p m except Friday. July 4. when post time has been set at 3 p.m for those who prefer daytime racing The total purse for the five sessions is over 521.000 with the addition of funds this season from the Standardised Board of RegulationsThis year between races, there will be entertainment, featuring the fine music of the Anderson Bluegrass Company, which is composed ofAnderson High School Students. Also entertaining will be the Flatfords of Alexandria Three races are on tap Monday night with two divisions in the second race The first event is an ITPHA Stake Pace for two-year olds with a purse of 52. 52.100 Phil Trimble, one of the topdrivers to race annually at Anderson, will be handling Rips Candy ManThere are 10 horses in the first race Nine of the drivers will be male with the exception of I/m* F.akm. who will be driving Garrick, owned by her lather Emmett F.akm of Greenfield Miss Kakin is the only female driver on Monday’s opening programThe second race is a Free For All-Trot with two divisions. There are eight trotters in each division The purse is $1,000.One Madison County trotter will beparticipating in the second division That is VVendys Wonder, owned by John and Vonna Wire of FI wood John will also be driving Wendys Wonder in the trotThe final race on Monday’s card is a pace for Non Winners of $1,000 There will be 12 Pacing horses in the event and driver Jerry Landess will be handling Miss Lisa Time.Landess. one of the ITPHA s top drivers, was injured recently and will be driving with a cast on a broken armThere are two Anderson owned pacing horses in the third race.
