Barbara Kemp Given Honors At PlaygroundBarbara Kemp, who will be 11 years old July 6, has been named Juvenile of the Week” by leaders of the Hood Street Play-Sround.Miss Kemp is the first youngster in 1958 to receive the summer play season designation. At least one playground participant will be singled out in each of the following weeks to have similar recognition.Why does Barbara attend the playground near her home at 1407 5tn Ave. S.? Her answer is a direct one—I like it and I have {tin.” Because most vacations and play areas were made just for that purpose, Barbara finds a release for her energies by being a cheerleader for the softball teams; is a horseshoe player; indulges in a good game of bat and ball; swims and enjoys the more active games.Playground officials pointed out these attributes in awarding the initial honor of the season to Barbara: Improved attitude, excellent participation and an all- j around good sport.Barbara is the daughter of Mr. 1( aid Mrs. Robert Kemp; she has ^ two brothers and one sister. }rt*(VFaSiFtl
