Rescue Mission dedicationA dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Monday will celebrate renovation of recovery dorms at the Panama City Rescue Mission. The dorms will provide up to 20 men in longterm addiction recovery an environment for rehabilitation.Haney Technical Center’s carpentry class provided labor, and businesses and individuals including Mid South Lumber, Stock Building Supply and Plumb Better : plumbing provided labor and materials.Mission program students worked on the dorms as part of their work therapy program, keeping skills current and learning new trades.At the end of Monday’s program, the Rescue Mission will announce plans for a day center. To contribute money or materials, call the mission at 215-9007.
