Airport Aid To IndustryBoth Fairfield Aluminum Castings Co. and its customers are making increasing use of the Fairfield Municipal Airport.Last week, for example, several officials of Greenlee Bros, and Company of Rockford, 111., flew to Fairfield to tour the Falco plant.The Greenlee party made the trip in a twin-engine Beech 18, a company-owned aircraft. Their purpose was to seek a new source of castings for equipment which they manufacture for the electrical contracting industry.As a result of the visit, Fairfield Aluminum is now making plans to produce the needed castings.Falco is also making extensive use of the charter service operated by B Flight, Inc., at the airport.Merle Haney, Falco president, said the company is also making extensive use of the charter service operated by B-Flight, Inc., at the airport.Recent Falco business trips toother states have been made ina new twin-engine Aztec. The aircraft will carry six people and has a cruising speed of 600MPH.Charter flight pilots are Bill Palmer and Dick Lyons, B-Flight owners.
