Snider Organist.The Cantata “David the Shepherd Boy” was given at the opera house on Wednesday evening of last week, as advertised. It was greeted by a packed house, probably the largest ever given to a like entertainment in the city. The performance was good. Almost every word of the entire play could be understood by the audience, which is very unusal for cantatas and operas and reflects much credit upon the musical directors, Mrs Scott and Mr. Ware.
