Feature of Northwest Annual Water CarnivalDetroit Lakes, June 2ft—Detroit Lakes Country club will be the j scene of a four-county golf tourn-ment Sunday, July 15 as one of the features of the 10th annual northwest water carnival, according to | Jack Perrin, chairman of this event.Golfers are invited from the counties of Wadena, Clay, Otter-tail and Becker.The tourney will be a 27-hole medal affair with nine holes of qualifying planned in the morning and 18 holes booked in the afternoon.to the champion will go a $25 war bond. Other prizes include: first flight, $10 cash; second flight, $5 cash; third flight, $2.50 cash; j fourth flight, two golf balls; and,' fifth flight, a golf hat.. ,| Entry fees will be $2.50 and will include green fees.All entries must be sent to j George Warner, pro at the Detroit Country club, not later than Fri- jday, July 13. 1Golfers are invited to take part;in the tournament and 'to bring ! their families for the many other celebration features which include the All-American- Auto Thrill drivers, $300 fishing derby, mammoth fireworks display, parade, Miss Northwest Charm contest, streetwater fight and midway attractions.
