Johnny PorterWins 1st Prize I °T%in Cattle ShowteRat♦ ♦ ♦First prize winner in the|Knc boys’ and girls' section of the annual Prince Albert Agricultural Society's Fat Cattle Show and Sale was Johnny Porter, son of Wm. Porter of Wakaw. The animal that took the ribbon was a 14 months old Angus steer, weighing 1180 lbs., and sold to E. Katz of Prince Albert for $8.50 per cwt., or $100.30. Porter calves have frequently carried off major awards atprevious shows of this society* Second prize went to ReggieWatson, son of George Watson, manager of Prince Albert stock yards, on a well-bred yearling Hereford, weighing 905 lbs., and selling also to E. Katz for $7.75 percwt. it is of interest to notethat this calf was shipped from dried out Southern Saskatchewan last fall to Shell-brook where it was picked up Heby Mr. Watson as a prospect for his boy to work on during the winter.Other winners in order were: Phyllis Miller, St. Louis ; Alex Katz, Prince Albert; Keith Irving, Allingly; D.
