In all there are nearly one hundred advance agents. These Include general agents, contracting agents, railroad contractors, press agents, car managers, bill posters, lithographers, banner men and twenty-four hour men.The campaign of advertising 1a laid out in a most systematic manner. Prom six to ten teams are sent Into the country accompanied by men who post .pictorial paper in every country town, village and at every cross road within a radius of thirty miles or more and they also place smaller advertising matter In every farm house.The name of the town and the date of the exhibition are the two things featured. July 17 the date, and Barnum and Bailey’s Greatest Show on Earth the event, Is hammered Into the minds of every one for miles around right up to the day of the show.It Is said that the Ringling spirit pervades the whole atmosphere of the Barnum show this year. The Ringllngs now own the show, and Otto Ringling is manager and with the show. The first thing the Ringllngs did when they bought was to re-establish the street parade, which had been dispensed with by the Barnum management for two or three years.
