* The big Independence Day - weekend will usher in the “super-star” era at Steel Pier, ac-; announcement of his bookingsMfor the Atlantic City amusement center.Mitch Miller will head a cast of 40 in a production so large that it’s scheduled for presentation in the huge Marine ballroom a half-mile out over the Atlantic Ocean. The Miller showwill hold forth July 2, 3 and 4. In the pier’s Music Hall the Osmond Brothers, stars of the Andy Williams TV show, will headline an all-star bill.Opening in the Music Hall onSunday, July 5, are the New jChristy Minstrels. The Christy unit of nine is the largest in an area where duets and trios predominate.Tony Grant will have his “Stars of Tomorrow” in the j Children’s Theatre and the outdoor water circus will offer international stars of the circus plus thrill acts in the Marine i Amphitheatre at the pier’s tip. j
