The hand this year is a volun-ns leer one, composed of young and old H.t players, who with the singers are very y. faithful In the endeavor to have Mt.Pleasant have a permanent hand or )n' ganlzatlon. The band committee of the Community Club recently secured pledges from the citizens for a month I ly sum and donation, to secure equip ment and hire a leader and) instruct 10, or for the year ending next March. l*l Each Wednesday evening is band' I practice and Thursday evenings the band concerts. Every Wednesdayand Thursday afternoons are the re hearsal for the Young Men’s band with private lessons for those desiring { j them. All under the directing of t | Prof. Unkrlch. More young band stu [f dents are wanted, both boys and girls This is the great opportunity. Any one furnishing their instrument will be given free instruction and will eas ily learn to plav. See the leader or one of the committee.Next year It Is expected to have afine young band and this will relievesome of the older players who are so kindly volunteering their services thisrummer to help the cause ulong.The quartette, consisting of Messrs I Campbell, Walker, Evans and Camp-1 hell sang two tine selections between band pieces, at the last concert.
