Following an old fashioned picnic dinner at noon which the entire community is invited to bring their dinners and Join the spread, the main feature will be produced. The pioneer pageant, depicting the early settlement of the Nemaha valley, beginning with the arrival of the John Adams family in 1857, and leading on up to the coming of the railroad In 1872, will be based upon historical facts Many pioneer settlers or their descendents will take part in the numerous pantomlne scenes, dramatising actual events of those early days—seventy-five years ago, when the west was really wild. The pageant Is being sponsored by the Adams Woman's club with Miss Ruth Laird as director, and work on same is well under way.
