Richard Schigut of Temple, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Uhubottom of Rra/.oria, Texas.It was Monday, July 5. 1926, at 10:00 a.m., that Miss Helena Barbara Meier of Rosebud became the bride of Mr. John William Schigut of Cameron, in St. Ann’s Cath olic Church of Rosebud, with Father Simon Spinnweber officiating at the Nuptial Mass. Mrs. Larry Walker ofMiss ParksCameron, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid, and Mr. C. J. Meier of Rosebud, brother of the bride, was best man. Charles Belson was ringbearer. and Little Miss Mary Smith of Rosebud was flower girl. Altar boys were Albert Marek, Jr., and Lee Ray McAtee.On April 9. 1927. the couple opened a dry goods store on Rosebud’s Main Street, where they have been in continuous business since.They have made theirhome at 120 East ParishStreet, in Rosebud, nearly all their married life. They have two sons. John William, Jr.. in the dry goods business in Cameron, and Richard in the same business in Belton, two grandchildren, four fostergrandchildren, and four step-grandchildren. They alsoreared a niece Mrs. Wanda Rhubottom of Brazoria.
