Thu3 closed the first day of ihe meeting.(To be continued next week.)J. Dudley Crawford Dead.On last Saturday afternoon Mr. J. D. Crawford died very suddenly at his heme in Marshall. Although Mr. Crawford had been in poor health for several weeks he was not considered to be in any immediate danger, and his death is supposed to have resulted from heart failure. He was 62 years old and was ex-confederate soldier, having enlisted when only sixteen years of age Mr. Crawford was well known here as he has been closely identified with Commerce for a number of years past. P'or 15 years be was president of the First National Bank of this city and for a number of years president of the Crawford-Norria Co., and was at the time-of his death a large stockholder in that company, and was also a stockholder in the Commerce Mill and Grain Co. here. He had large business interests in many other places in. Texas. He leaves a wife, son, daughter and two brothers with a host of friends to mourn his death.Fraternal Brotherhood Officers.The Fraternal Brotherhood met in regular session last night.
