Main Street slates brick decorati ng contestAs a part of the Phase Three brick sales and the Fourth of July celebration, the Kerrville Main Street program will sponsor a brick decorating contest and brick toss.The contest will be coordinated much like the window display contest series announced earlier this week. The brick decorating will begin on Thursday, June 22, with the winners announced on July 4 at the Main Street booth at the Fourth of July Celebration in Louise Hays Park.The decorating contest will be divided into three categories forjudging: professional,adults non-professional and youth through 18 years old. Each entry will be judged on originality and uniqueness. The theme, of course, is Red, White and Blue Days. Thebrick toss contest also will be divided into categories: youth through 18 years and adults. The winners in all categories will receive a certificate for one engraved brick each. If the winner already has an engraved brick planted on Water Street, the certificate is transferrable to anyone the winner desires.
