Mr. Behrens was a sol-i dier in the German army during the World wav, and lost a thumb. Hecame to this country two years afterthe war closed, and very promptly ., took out hts first papers, and asked t for citizenship in the United States,and is now a citizen entitled to the protection of the government, and ol with the obligation of loyalty. tol
