Lillian M. Ruh1 8 9 7 - 1 9 9 6Lillian M. Ruh, 99. formerly of 208 Franklin Street, Jacksonville died Tuesday morning, June 18, 1996, at Barton W. Stone Christian Home.She was born April 14, 1897, in Logan County, the daughter of Henry August and Anna KokeKopf. She married I,awrence Ruh on Feb. 25, 1920, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 23. 1961,She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John (Anna Kathryn)Bader of Kerrville, Texas, Mrs.George (Edna) Kingsbury of Wayne, Mich., Mrs. Robert (Bernice) DuRocher of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Richard (Jean) Horn of Franklin; one son Leland (wife, Carla Jo) Ruh of Jacksonville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; andone sister Emma Heidbreder of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by one son Richard Ruh; five sisters; one brother; one granddaughter; and three great-grandsons.Mrs. Ruh was a member ofSalem Lutheran Church.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the WilliamsonFuneral Home with burial at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. J'hursday with the family meeting friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Salem LutheranChurch or to Barton W. Godfrey were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 1996, at the Williamson Funeral Home with the Rev. William Leppin officiating. Sherilyn Bening, a daughter, played the organ and Cathy Menge, the soloist sang. “In The Garden, “How Great Thou Art,” “Amazing Grace,” and “I Need Thee Every Hour. A great-granddaughter, Leanica Adams sang, “Colors of the Wind.” Personaltributes were given from daughters, Sherilyn and Kay Bennett and granddaughter Kim Adams. Pallbearers were Steve Ford, Mike Adams, Don Bennett, Bill Hodge, Wally Davenport, John Godfrey, and Justin Adams. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Fortschneider, Carson Bening, and Erick Bening. Honorary flower girls were Kim Adams, Debbie Novel, Christi Watts. Leanica Adams, and Marissa Novel. Burial was at DiamondGrove Cemetery.
