WEARING THE DRESS that Mrs. Petti-bone wore to President Cleveland’s inaugural bail is Cindy McNinch, left. The dress is of pink satin and has pearls and beads sewn, on it with dainty stitches. As accessories, Mrs. Pettibone carried pink kid leather gloves and wore satin shoes. Debby Randall,center, is wearing one of the Galloway girl’s wedding dress. The dress is of white crepe. Beth Traut models an 1834 creation. The dress was most likely used for special occasions and is cocoa brown m color and made of taffeta material.Fashions Of By-Gone Years Featured In Museum ShowBy JANELL SCHWARTZ(Woman's Pag* Reporter)Wedding dresses, suits, petticoats, shoes, hats and gloves. These are just some of the clothes being modeled by nine eager girls at the Galloway House located on Pioneer Road. The style show wilt run through next week.The clothes being displayed are from the 1816s to the 1930s. A wide range of wedding dresses, dressy dresses, everyday dresses and evening dresses will be modeled.A beautiful pink satin gown, decorated with pearls and beads sewn on it quite daintly is just one of the selections to be seen. This gown was worn by one of the residents of the Galloway House, Mrs. Pettibone, back in 1909 when she went toPresident Cleveland's inaugural ball. Withit, Mrs. Pettibone carried long pink kid gloves and a dainty pink ostrich feathered fan.The style show starts at 3 p.m. every day with the exception of Monday and will run until approximately 3:45 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Fond du Lac Historical Society.Kathy Spoerri, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Spoerri, 371 Boyd St., is in charge of the entire operation. Her models include Cindy McNinch, Sin Strupp, Debby Randall, Beth Spoerri, Mary Ann Kastorff, Chris Shirey, Beth Traut and Sheriy Williams. Back stage helpers are Mary Cummins, Pam McEssey, Marcia Rodman, Maureen Morgan and Janet Lepin.As well as being models and helpers, these girls are also guides for any visitorsto Galloway House. All of the time andeffort they spend on the grounds is purely voluntary. But each girl expresses the joys she obtains from working with Fond du Lac history such as Galloway House has provided them.Since Kathy Spoerri is the chairman of this event, she was asked exactly how she got into doing such things. Her reply was, “Well I guess a little of my parent’s interest in history rubbed off on me. They love history and I also do. But with all
