ELKS BUY OLD HINKLEY HALLLodge Begins Moving To New QuartersPurchase of old Hinkley hall by Brownsville lodge no. 10*32 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks was announced Wednesday by David W. Simpson, president of the Cosmopolitan Life Insurance Company, and publicity director of tile Elks here.Although the sale price was not disclosed, the property, which is located on 11th street near St. Charles, SE. is reputed W be valued at about $12,000.The Elks purchased the building from w. A. Ellington of Brownsville Mr. Simpson stated.Move Wednesday The lodge began moving Wednesday from its old quarters in the Stegman building, and will hold its first meeting in the new hall Tuesday at 8 p. m. ^Purchase was made by the Elks under the name of the Brownsville Elks Building Foundation, Inc- which was charter recently.Extensive remodeling of the Building, with plans to make it one of the finest lodge halls in the (See ELKS Pace Two)
