U. N. BARKEY GETS ONE DOLLAR VERDICTSues Old Farmers’ Supply Co. For Wages and is Awarded Small Sum.Uriah Barkey, of the Wooster Hardware Co. ’s branch store, won a $1 verdict in a suit against the old Farmer’s Supply Co. in Squire Levi Brenneman’s court Tuesday afternoon.The suit was against W. B. Wissler and Charles R. Winbigler. Barkey claimed he had been employed by them for a year on a verbal contract, while they claimed the employment had been | by the month only. Barkey was out of employment some time and sued for $100.00.The jury composed D. J. Leickheim, Benjamin Wheeler, Harry E. Taylor, George Dietrick, George Arnold and Lem Garver brought in a verdict for one dollar.Attorney W. E. Weygandt represented the defense and Attorney eG. A. Starn the plaintiff. The witnesses in the case were H. S. McMannis, Miss Clara PostleVait, Ed. Brown and B. F. Fisher, of Millers burg.
