MMiss Ann HetherlinMiss Ann Hetherlin will pre-i sent a solo piano recital at the j River Forest Women’s club. 526 j Ashland, next Wednesday at : 8:15 p.m.Miss Hetherlin has just completed her second year of study at the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, N. Y., where she is a pupil of Jose Echaniz. Her former teachers have been Ruth Wilkins Tver, of the village, and George Mac Nabb. of Eastman. A few days after the recital. Miss Hetherlin will return to Rochester to continue her studies with Mr. Echaniz during the summer school session, and also to present a recital in Eastman’s Kilbourne hall.An honor student throughout high school, Miss Hetherlin was also active in musical and extracurricular activities. She appeared twice in concert as piano soloist with the orchestra, and has given many programs for school organ-j izations and for church and club i groups. She was also a member of ; the Oak Park high school orches-I tra for four years, i At the completion of her high ■ school years. Miss Hetherlin was ; awarded a MacDowell Scholarship and a Rochester Prize sehol-BFGINNING, WITH the fellowship tea on September 16 withioliiarship from the University of Rochester.Wednesday's program includes Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C minor”; the popular Mozart Son-fata in A maj’or”; the Sonata in D minor,” The Tempest,” by Beethoven; a Schubert Impromptu,” and two Chopin numbers, the E Major etude, and the A Flat ballade.
