The guest soloist was Miss Claire VanRaves-teyn. soprano, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian VanRavesteyo.Lovely arrangements of early summer flow ers were placed about the large room forming an attractive setting, which was centered by the handsome baby grand piano upon which the young artists performed.The opening number, a duet. Nevia’s “Mazurka. delighted the large, appreciative audience.Miss Cobb's offerings were J. S. Bach’s “Bourree ’in G and “In-Y MORNINGIALif ColonyE*1ST COLORS. Miss Ford's {was Gregh’s “Gay Butterflies, a | difficult number, emphasising : trills in the right band. Miss j Cobb's selection was Chopin's '“Waltz in G Flat”—truly a lovely 'rendition of this difficult classic.Miss VanRavesteyn, soprano, {held her audience in rapt atten* t tion by her splendid interpreta-; tion of Tschaikowsky's “One Who iHas Yearned Alone and Strauss’ • “Look Me Over Once. Her en-; core, Sieczynski's Vienna. My I City of Dreams (sung in part in i German) was rendered in a truly I professional manner. This young jlady possesses a voice of rare quality and great strength, as *A'ell ;as a gift of clear enunciation.; Miss Ford's rendition of Cbamin-iade’s The Flatterer” and Rach-i mamnoffs “Polichinelle” carried jlhe appreciative audience into the : realm of fairyland.!
