iSixlv Are Present At'irTheir Regular Business Meelt;HOPEWELL — Hopewell Grange ; held the regular business meeting Thursday in the hall with an attendance of 60. All officers were present except three. Application for j membership was made by Ruth Smith. Four new members were ; taken into the Grange. A resolution i on the death of a member, Arthur I Brizzee, was read by Mrs. Earl Button, was adopted and will be sent to the family. The charter was draped for Arthur Brizzee.A report from Pomona Grange was given by the delegate, Miss Helen Stoddard. A talk was given by Mrs. Ward Moore; a member of Pomona Service and Hospitality Committees on the duties of the Service and Hospitality Committee.Letters were read from State Master Freestone urging Life Insurance taken out by Grange members by J which prizes can be won through policies taken out in the Grange.Invitations were received from Castle Grange to meet with them June 22 at which time they will dedicate their new hall recently built, also from Canandaigua Grange lor July 25 which were accepted.Theie was a floral exhibit in charge of Josephine Linehan. First prifce for the best bjtuqujcfc was awarded Mrs. J. R. Wooden, second to Mrs. Earl Button. First prize for the best-potted plant was awarded Mrs. J. R. Wooden.The following program was given: Instrumental solo by Ruth Moore; reading, Beatrice Dubbs; recitation, “Little Girls Punishment,” Janice Stoddard; recitation, “My Mother’s ! Garden,” Helen Breen; a rose tab-laux by Emily Wood, Doris Stod- j dard, Isabell and Katherine Gillis, i Mildred Smith, Helen Stoddard and Beatrice Dubbs; selection, Isabell and Katherine Gillis; reading, “A Lily Grew in the Garden,” Helen Stoddard; song by the Grange “The Last Rose of Summer.” Ice cream and cake were served by Mrs. E.
