Kenoshans take part in Sokol celebrationThe Sokol Jubilee Slet will be held Sunday, June 27, at Hoffman High School stadium, Berwyn, 111., to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the American Sokol.Sokol competitions will take place June 24 through 26, with awards being presented Saturday evening at special ceremonies.A parade will precede the Slet on Sunday, starting at 1:00 p.m. and traveling west on Cermak Road in Cicero and Berwyn and ending at the Hoffman stadium. A program will begin at 2 p.m.at the stadium.Kenoshans participating in the event are Steve, Dolly, and Sharon Mostenan, Lenore Labedz, and Terry Horochena.
