Thunder Chicken specialThunder Chicken, the world's only skydiving clown, will descend by balloon onto the track field tonight at the 24th annua) Poultry Days celebration. This special feature is sponsored by Elson Ford Inc. Festivities move Into high gear today with a parade at 11 a.m., egg and cake judging at 1 p.m., and Miss Chick finals starting at 1:30 p.m. Ed Hart of Channel 2 television and Representative Tom Kindness, will crown the queen at 4 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., a variety show starts In the high school gym. The third annual Chicken Meat (track) for senior high studentsPoultry Days attractionbegins at noon. Following Thunder Chicken’s, drop at T p.m., “Music Man will be performed in the elementary gym. Celebration officials report a record crowd turned out Friday and chicken barbecue was sold out before rains fell. The musical was standing room only by the time the curtain rose. Tonight’s crowds are expected to break more records. The program continues through Sunday, featuring chicken barbecue, an antique car parade, a talent show, and sports events.
