2. The church lifts the fear of death and gives us hope. The church tells us there will be a better life for us after this one. Our best songs of love, joy and peace were given us by the church. Church love is like a mother's love. Our mothers grow old and have to leave us. But the church mothers us, shields us, protects us, defends us, inspires us. No wonder..the Catholic people look with tender affection to that cross on the steeple. Their church loves them. No wonder the Nazarenes with thrilling hearts stand up and sing Wonderful Grace of Jesus. No wonder the .Episcopalians open their book of common prayer, kneel in the sanctuary reverently, and then stand to say I believe in God the Father Almighty.Farther up the street the Pentacostals will be singing the song of deliverance in the joyful words: He Took My Sins Away.Churches of many fellowships unite in heart and spirit thanking God for their holy communions and the presence of their living Savior.Many millions long for the^ay when we shall be all of one fold with one Shepherd. Mothers Day is a beautiful day in memory.But in an eternal sense every day we go to church becomes Mothers Day. For the church is the mother of us al I.☆ ☆ ☆
