RADIOFrom A1WDLW, which typically offers a variety of Latino programming, will act as a flagship station for a Cleveland Indians Hispanic Network. The network also will consist of radio stations in the Cleveland, Youngstown, Chardon, Geauga County and Lake County areas.As a flagship station, WDLW will receive the broadcast via a direct signal from Jacobs Field and transfer the bilingual program to other stations in the network.‘Tf this experimental season is successful, we hope to expand the schedule next year so there will be more stations airing the games in Spanish/’ Michael said. Only a handful of major leagueteams before the Cleveland Indians have broadcast their games in Spanish, he said.Alan Davis, director of community relations for the Cleveland Indians, will announce the games in Spanish from Jacobs Field. Davis is known for his previous position as sports director for WEWS-TV, Channel 5.WDLW will broadcast the following home games in Spanish * on these dates:• June 20 and 21 vs. the New York Yankees.• June 27 and 28 vs. the Houston Astros.- July 11 and 12 vs. the Minnesota Twins.• July 25 and 26 vs. the Detroit Tigers.• Aug. 15 and 16 vs. the Baltimore Orioles.• August 29 and 30 vs. the Oakland A’s.
