265 AttendChaunceyBanquetMementos, such as school trophies, yearbooks, pictures and uniforms, were displayed when 265 guests gathered at the Chauncey Elementary multi-purpose room recently for the annual Chauncey-Dover alumni banquet.Cynthia Pendergrass of Chauncey was honored as graduate of the year. Entertainment was provided by an Athens High School group Shadows of the Nights.”Tim Matheny's band from Chesterhill provided the music for the dance that followed. Chauncey-Dover band uniforms were sold as a money making project.This year’s officers were: Joe Lanning. president; Tom Blower, vice president; Lynda Storer. secretary; Lynda Bolin, treasurer, and Lois Simpson, news reporter Officers elected for next year include, John Matheny. president; Roger Smith, vice president; Judy Matheny. secretary; Pat Finnearty, treasurer, and Lois Simpson, news reporter
