Yes, siree, folks, and Francis Baker included, good Old Charlie Sparks with his Downie Bros, circusis coming right into the lap of the Fourth of Junely celebra tion, and Boo is kicking his heels together, and yelling: Saved With the circus coming, and the regiment of Canadian soldiers Iflt;iwith a 60-piece band, that projected celebration starting on Dominion Day, July 1, will get a great big boost when the circus wagons roll into the town onIXd;tithat day, and Mr. Sparks spopens up his parlor tent to greet hirf many Ogdensburg friends. Jerome Harriman, he of advance-man circus fame, .was in the city yesterday and made all the contracts and in-1 ti vited the kiddies of the orphanages to be the guests of Mr. hSparks. Jerome has been coming here for many years at the t] head of some circus, and by gosh he is so well known that he oeven calls children by their first name. “We gotta a collossal show,*’ said Jerome yesterday as he had parked in front of the fireplace and began to unreel some real honest to goodness circus lingo of which Jerome is just chuck full of. “We’ve gotthe best, the greatest, the most entertaining and amusing; the most delightful and spectacular show on earth, and I am not stretching any truth when I say that this year's attraction is by far the greatest on the road, and you good Ogdensburg people will thoroughly enjoy the galaxy of saw dust stars which Mr. Sparks has assembled under the big top this year to make the old feel young, and young gay, and—let me add you’ll enjoy it, I just know you will. Here on July 1, Dominion Day in Canada, and the day of days in Ogdensburg.Thank you, Mr. Jerome.
