F. F. Kiltermnn received a letter / Tuesday from his son, John. at ^ Iowa City, staling that In* had just undergone an operation for appendicitis and was jrotlintf alonp- nicely. He went to the hospital Saturday and was operated upon Monday. The news that he was ill came as a surprise to the family here, as In* was expected f home about the loth, and made no mention of his ailment in letters. John has many friends here and all will hope for a speedy and complete recovery. ,
