Thomas Opett To Graduate From Broome CollegeThomas Opett (above) son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Opett, 24b Ridge street, Honesdale. will receive his associates degree in business administration from Broome Technical Community College, Binghamton. N. Y.. on Friday, June 11.A graduate of Honesdale High School in 1960, he served four years with the II S. Air Force as a systems programmer. After liis discharge, he joined Link Group as a programmer for the L.E.M, and Apollo simulator built for NASA.In 1968. he joined the Endicott Bank of New York as assistant manager of data processing, was promoted to manager m June 1969 and was elected a bank officer in Oct. 1969. He graduated from the executive development school at West Point in Feb. 1970 and was promoted to bank operations officer in Feb. 1971.In September, he will enroll in the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.He lives with his wife (nee Nancy Martin of Honesdale) and their two sons, Michael and Jeffrey in Vestal, N. Y He formerly was employed by the Wayne Independent.
