George T. Holmes family Will HoldHeumon lo CareyThe family of Mrs MaryHolmes and the late George THomes will have a reunion inChildress Countv June 21 Theevent will be held in the Carey•school building eight miles west of the city, where most of the Holmes children attended schoolMr Holmes farmed in the countv from 1925 until r*4H whenwhe moved his family to Morton In his years of failing health, the family moved to Wichita Fails, where he died in 1955 Mrs Holmes still lives there and celebrated her eighty first birthday in April of this year Mr and Mrs Holmes made history in Childress county in 1933 when she gave birth to their 13th child and the only bo born into the family. George T Holmes II, lives in Plainview with his wife, Ann They will he attending the family reunion along with Mrs Mary Holmes and the daughtei ^ Besides Mrs Holmes, five of the daughters live in Wichita Falls The children and their families who plan to attend are Mr and Mrs lack Shipley (Beaulah), Odessa; Mr andMrs J K Hudlow (Winnie), Fstelline, Mr and Mrs Paul Arnold, (Rubv), Lubbock MrW *and Mrs Johnny Baker i Jessie Mae), Brownfield; Mr andMrs Bill Qui sen berry (Inez) Floydada and the following from Wichita Falls Mr and Mrs John Penn (Pauline), Mayor and Mrs Kenneth Hill (Mary Klizabeth), Mr and Mrs T D Crawford i Anne , Mr and Mrs Karl I^ancaster (Jackie) and Mrs Maxine Stonesifer Besides the death of thefather, two girls are alsodeceased; Kula, when still a small child and Wilma, who waskilled in a car accident in June 1969.* Members of the family arelooking forward to the meetingback in the “old school house”and hope they have theopportunity of seeing many oftheir friends and renewingacquaintances People who1 know and remember the family^ are cordially invited to coine by, .
