Return From Trip To OregonOn Monday, May 26th, Mrs. O. J. Teig and Mr. and Mrs, Robert Edwards and sons left from Perry, la., via train for Portland, Oregon and arrived there early Wednesday morning, May 28th. They spent their vacation with their daughter and sister, Mr.and Mrs. Maynard Hauskins and Janet. Some of the places, they enjoyed to visit were the Pacific Ocean beach and Mt. Hood. The scenery was beautiful, especially the lovely roses to be seen all over Portland. Also, while in Portland, Mrs. Teig's daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Talley flew to Portland from North Hollywood, California and were unaware of the fact that Mrs. Teig and the Edwards family were there, too and they were really surprised and happy. Their son, Ronnie from Pacific Lutheran College joined the group over Memorial Day weekend.Mrs. Edwards spent one day with a former classmate, Maxine Werner Knebel, formerly of. Blue Earth,, Minn. Also the Clifford Bottleson’s family, (the former Wilma Glorfield) joined the group. Wilma sends greetings to all friends and relatives. Robert reports crops look best right back at good old Buffalo Center.
