Each, line has a seties of its own and by this means no two trains on the whole Pennsylvania system will have the same number. Eiie Pittsburg trains are in the ‘'200” series and instead of 23, 23, etc,, we have 223, 224, etc.A new circular lms been issued by the Lake Shore management, which ought to be imitated by every road in the country. It reads: “No person will be retained in the service oi this company who is known to go into a saloon or place of bad resort; or who is known to use intoxicating liquors. Every person in charge of employes is hereby directed to dismiss from the service any who are guilty of these practices, as they will themselves he held held personally responsible for having such men in their employ, for such are certain, sooner or later, to cause injury to lives and property. All employes are hereby warned.The Erie Pittsburg railroad was t built to .Sharon, from Girard, where it Jconnected with the Lake Shore road, inthe fall of 1863, and regular passenger trains began running the 41I1 of January, 3864, The Sharon Herald of June 19H1, ( 1864, announced that the laying of the i track between Sharon and New Castle had been completed, and on August|.|th, 1864, that through trains from Erie to New Castle began running on the Monday previous, August 1st. The packet boat,“Crystal Palace,’’ Porter Kalkin-burg, also made regular daily trips between Sharon and New Castle, leaving Sharon at (■ a. m. ami arriving at New Castle at 12, and leaving there at 1 p. in. and arriving at Sharon at 7; six hours between ports. Now, il the express trains don't make the run in 38 or 40 minutes they are voted poky and slow,-— Sh(iron Herald,J
