Despite the fact that this is the off season for tar- ( pon, a specimen, weighing 124 pounds, has been caught during thetrip.The yachtsmen are delighted with their trip through the Florida Keys, y and some of the yachtsmen remarked that the keys afford wonderful cruising grounds even during this time of the year.Among the yachtsmen is D. H. Conkling, publisher of The Palm Beach Post. Mr. Conkling has un- ' bounded faith in the great develop- ' ment of South Florida, and, though many persons consider the growth thus far as wonderful, Mr. Conkling believes that it is merely an inkling of what it will eventually be. And he speaks not as one who merely lets his wish be father to his thought, but as one who keeps in close touch with conditions in practically every place in South Florida and who is convinced that they point to extensive growth, involving the expenditure of millions of dollars. As to the*Post, it continues to be preeminent in its field, despite the fact that it has several competitors, both daily and weekly.On Homeward StretchThe cruise will keep the yachtsmen away from West Palm Beach for ten days.
