Peggy Barlowe was co-hostess, and Judy Wulfkuhle presented the lesson on microwave cooking.INDIA EHU will meet 1 p.m. Thursday at the home of Judy Saathoff, 1925 Maple Ln. Frances Mercer will be cohostess. The program will be given by County Extension Agent Glenna Felts.CENTRAL EHU will meet 1:30 p.m. June 19 at the home of Ida Hornberger. Charlene Pohl will give the lesson, “Making Ends Meet.” Members should bring personal items for the special project.BECAUSE IT was junior officers’ night, Junior President Nick Moreau called to order the May 2 meeting of Palmyra 4-H Club. Kelly Pearson served as junior secretary, and Nickie Taul served as junior vice president. Meadowlark 4-H Club evaluated the meeting.Melody Newland gave a project talk on how to prevent sore mouth in sheep. Owen Murphy talked about rockets, and Matt Milburn demonstrated how to make “Oven Right Dinner Rolls.’’ Tina Francqfruit-and-yogurt-topped cake. Jodie Beard shared a safey tip on air pollution. IJim Friberg was recognized for 4-H work on the state level at the Emerald Circle Banquet on May 31 in Manhattan.PRESIDENT John Patchen called to order the May 21 meeting of Lone Star 4-H Club. For recreation, members played a basektball relay led by Brian and Aaron Flory. __Topics discussed during the business meeting were the club tour, club banner, fund-raiser, club trip and “Adopt-a-Highway” project.The program consisted ofBrandie Rice giving aparliamentary procedure, Jill Dwyer giving a project talk on vet science and Stephen Russell giving a demonstration on livestock judging.Meadowlark 4-H Club evaluated the meeting.Hosts were the Jennings and Harrell families.The club’s next meeting will be 7:15 p.m. Monday at Wakarusa Valley School.HAPPY DAYS EHU will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Mrs. Steve Laurence. The lesson, “Microwaving Quick Main Dishes,” will be given by the hostess. The May meeting was held in the home of Mrs. Howard O’Connel. Glenna Felts gave the lesson.
