Coal Output of Nova Scotia.Coal production in Nova Beotia lor the year 1910 amounted to a total of 5,477,146 tons, being an increase over 11*09 production of 281,led tons. Colliery consumption accounted lor 515.-V2U tons. The protracted str.ke at tne plant ol Cumberland Kail nay A Coal Co. was responsible last year lor a decreased output in Cumberland county. 277,862 tons were mined as against 542,040 lor the year before. The Maritime Coal, Railway Power Co. was the chief producer, having ra.sed 161 .♦ *43 tons. PictoU county produced 629,59^ tons, the greatest producer being the Acadia Coal Co. and the Intercolonial Coal Co. Inverness county 364,104 tons were raised, ol which the Inverness Kail way Coal Co. contributed 277,257 tuns and the Port Hood-Kichxnond Ka.lway A Coal Co. the balance. The output of Cape Breton county was 4.265,131 tons, which is a considerable increase over that ol 1909, wh-n 3,C34,392 tons were raised. The great bm* of tiiis tonnage was raistxl by the Dominion Coal Co., with 3,244,751 tons, and the Nova Sooti^Bteel A Coal Co. with cJ6.34d tons.
