Collision With Lamp Restores Man’s Si«htLONDON, June 6 (AP)-rohn Hennessy, 66-year-old ex-miner, who had been blind for 22 years, ran into a street lamp in Loch-gelly, Fifeshire, Scotland, on his way home, and the shock restored his sight, British newspapers reported.He later found he could see the light coming through the window of his room. He looked out and saw two women passing.I shouted to them, and they must have thought I was mad.” he said.
