Many came early and stayed late in evening, an especially large crowd ci children being in attendance tliruout the day.Much care had been taken to have the grounds in readiness for the opening and everywhere the evidence supported the foresight of the park board in having things in first class condition. The play-ground apparauts was all installed and was constantly I thronged by the smaller children. “€The new bandstand has been com- Pl pleted together with the park’s new C1 refreshment booth. New shrubbery qj has been planted over the lawns and the flower beds are in bloom.
