June 6, (Spl ) That the spirit of Jeremiah Bender, an eccentric and wealthy bachelor l^ho died near here a few years ago, ■Rmmunieated with him through his wife, Mr*. Daisy M. Burd, a spiritualistic medium and told ham that if he comd live over in this world he would spend his money and not be so saving is the claim of Sylvester Burd, a we 11 to-do real estate dealer for the fast 11 years who has been holding private seances at his big stone mansion here.Burd has studied spiritualism 30 years he says.Jeremiah Bender left, a fortunte of $ 1 ^0,000 to distant relatives when hedied.He had spent big life on the farm west of here working from morning till night. He never bought anythingexcept what was absolutely necessary. Burd say* the spirit told him that Bender was sorry he had lived as he hadwhile on earth.Burd says that he apo received amessage from a spirit which claimed to be that of a young man who shot himself for a painted faced girl. Burd says the spirit* predicted that Buffalo Bill would .be in a wreck and that, the prediction was correct. He also say*tie spirits have told him where thereis a box of gold but that the owmerin which it is hidden will not let himsearch'.
