Cochran, Mrs. Carrie Stace, the present proprietor, retiring. Mrs. Stace purchased this property just one year ago. She entered upon her new duties and responsibilities without previous preparation. By strictattention and high-class manage-%ment she has secured a business that is now on a very profitable basis she having but one reason for giving it up that being the present condition of her health. Mrs. Stacewill rest .for a period when she an-♦licipates engaging in some other business or employment.As to the new proprietors everybody in Shelbyville and Shelby county who are accustomed to eat in local hotels and restaurants are acquainted with them. For more thanten years Mrs. Cochran was first*cook at the Hotel Ray a position she filled to the entire satisfaction of the guests and the proprietors whom she served so long and faithfully. At present she is the cook at the Anders’ restaurant in the Dorsey block. Without doubt she is the best prepared woman fn our city for the position she will now take in her own hotel. Her son, Alonzo Cochran, was raised in a hotel and in addition to this experience the public knows him as an. honest, competent, affable and enterprising young man.
